Leela’s Friend
A ) “You see here a little bit of moon sticking” who is the speaker ? where is the little bit of moon sticking ? how did the episode with the moon begin and come to an end? ( 1+1+3)

Answer-
➢ A) The speaker here is Sidda,the servant in Mr Sivasanker’s house.
➢ A) The little bit of moon is sticking on the red ball with which he is playing with Leela.
➢ C) The speaker here is Leela, the five-year year old daughter of Mr Sivasanker.
➢ C) Sidda had to drop any work he might be doing and ran to Leela.
➢ D) The speaker is Sidda.
➢ D) “It”refers to the moon.
Sidda and Leela would play every day with each other by throwing the red ball in the front garden. Sidda threw the ball into the sky and when it came down, he claimed that it had touched the moon and a little bit of moon stuck to it. But Leela could not see it. Then sidda suggested that she must be very quick as the traces of the moon would evaporate and go back to the moon. Then Sidda held the ball tightly and allowed Leela to see it through a little gap in his finger.
At last Leela would able to see a wet mark on the ball.

D ) After this he took her to the backyard and pointed up the moon at the back of the house. Leela was surprised seeing the moon both in the front of the house and at the back. Then Sidda told Leela that he had instructed the moon to follow them.
