 How do Mr and Mrs Sivasanker react to Leela’s missing chain ? How does Leela react herself ? What does it suggest about each of them ? ( 2 + 1+ 2) 

   Answer-    

     When Mrs Sivasanker noticed that Leela’s chain had been missing , she asked Leela about it and slapped her for carelessness. She called Sidda and asked him about the chain. But when Sidda denies any knowledge of the chain, Mrs Sivasanker directly charges him with the theft. Being panic ,Sidda flees. On the other hand, Mr Sivasanker came to know about the incident and became agitated and went to the police station.

 Only Leela remains indifferent and pays no heed to the loss of the chain. This suggests that Mr and Mrs Sivasanker value money more than any human being and are suspicious by nature.

While Leela , innocent , immaterialistic child who cares only for her playmate,Sidda.
