The reverie was about the brief meeting with the girl who just left the train .The narrator sat by the window. He was daydreaming about the short interaction with the girl, about the beauty of hills , landscape etc. He was transported into the world of dream. So many things where happening outside of the window and the narrator made guesses about them.It was very fascinating to him. The male passenger who boarded the train at Saharanpur broke into the narrator’s reverie by saying that he is not nearly as attractive a travelling companion as the one who just left .
